Their version of "Tainted Love" feels like a complete reconstruction. Their version of "Where Did Our Love Go" changed up the instruments, obviously, but it keeps too close to the original while also missing a lot of the key elements that make the original so great. Almond has nothing on Diana Ross (which is weird, considering the passion displayed on "Tainted Love"), and the lack of backing vocals leaves it kind of empty.
