It's actually been impressive how absolutely garbage the Canadian government was with acquiring vaccines for the first half of the vaccine rollout, and how quickly we've caught up to have the highest partial vaccine in the world, and are closing in on the best countries for fully vaxxed That's what happens when you don't have a domestic supply. Once the counties we were importing from stopped hoarding (I don't blame them, any country should want to protect its own citizens first) we then went in hyperdrive. In a few months we went from mid-low tier vaccination rate to number 1 for first dose and currently number 5 for second dose among major nations (ie not small islands/subdivisions of other countries).
