You're going to get several free mounts just playing the MSQ, then as you go out and do things you'll earn more mounts, or currencies to buy mounts, or get them from achievements and stuff. Then at level cap you can go back and do old raids for easy mounts lol. Also sometimes mounts drop from like dungeons or something, but that's incredibly rare, and often times when they have a moogle event up, those obscure or rare mounts become prizes from those. But they just had like 2 moogle events back to back a couple months ago, so there might not be another one for a while. Then when you get into crafting and gathering, do your Ishgard stuff. There's like 7 or 8 mounts from doing that, and you'll get TONS of crafting and gathering levels. But you can't even do that until after the Heavensward MSQ.
