Let's look at how the seeds held up:

2v7: Two seeds won 19/20 times.
--Losers: Garrus (by tiebreaker)

3v7: Three seeds won 15/20 times.
--Losers: Mewtwo (by 3), Edith Finch (by 16), Kaine (by 1), Delita Hyral (by 2), and Proto Man (by 25)

4v5: Four seeds won 12/20 times.
--Losers: James Sunderland (by 14), Jessie (by 32), Little Mac (by 8), Edgar Figaro (by 16), Balthier (by 30), Cuphead (by tiebreaker), Wario (by 2), and Hades (Hades) (by 44).

So in total the higher seeded character won a little over 75% of the time. The two and three seeds won 85% of the time. I'll take that. That's enough variance for Round 2 to have the heavy hitter characters advance but not be a completely predictable slog. I'd run through the average margin of victory for each seed matchups, but I don't have the time at the moment.

The average user vote totals was 35-36, so that's pleasing. Thanks to all who are participating and I hope you continue to do so even as some of your favorite characters inevitably get knocked out as we move forward.
