Nier Replicant (PC, Steam)
Time played is probably not 152 hours like it shows, but not far off. I would assume 120 or so

I am..torn. It's pretty much exactly like Automata in terms of strong and weak points. Everything about the presentation is top noth - atmosphere, music, characters, story, world building etc.
But the gameplay itself sucks. Side quests are mostly a chore. Far too repetitive. You end up visiting the same 15 areas again, and again, and again because of the side quests and because of having to go through the game 5 times.
Playing this on normal is too easy, playing this on hard (which I did) is annoying - it isn't hard, it just takes forever because enemies are bulletsponge. I almost fell asleep fighting against the Orb boss in the Aerie, it took forever!!

Some achievements are also pain in the ass - upgrade all weapons is a massive grind that can take 20-30 hours depending on your luck. Some items drop rate is so damn low that you can grind for two hours and not get a single one

But..again - the story makes it worth playing. The major plot is pretty much incomprehensible nonsense, that I assume maybe if I played Drakengard I would have understood it a little better..but maybe not. But still, even though many things are left unexplained, there are so many fantastic moments and emotions in every scene that is impossible to not love it.
Kaine and Weiss, that I didn't like at first, also grew on me and I like them a lot
Giving you more details in future playthroughs and letting you understand the language of the shades and makes you realize that you are kinda the bad guy was also a nice touch
