I see. The original Nanoha TV series is... odd. It felt to me like the creators just didn't know what direction they wanted to take the series in until several episodes into the show, and the story really doesn't even start until Fate shows up. That slow start is why I tell people to watch the movie version of the first season instead. But the TV version does give a lot more background on Nanoha, as well as her family (who were once the protagonists of their own story in the Triangle Heart eroge visual novel series), so it's not entirely obsolete in the grand scheme of things.

Hell yeah. Reflection/Detonation are awesome movies with tons of action. They take place after A's, but form an alternate continuity from the one that leads into StrikerS. Essentially, StrikerS is the sequel to the TV version of A's, while Reflection/Detonation are the sequel to the movie version.

Yeah, its definitely been odd but I dig it. I like how there is more focus on Nanoha's friends and family. Also more Fate is always good. And not to mention I'm a fan of the art style you often saw in early 2000s anime thats present in Nanoha. I'll be sure to add the movies to my to watch list.

Sometimes I think this franchise is too complicated for its own good...

Just imagine how well it went when I tried to explain the Fate series to a friend of mine....
