The evidence that we should have about a historical Jesus isn't there, and the evidence we do have is conflicting and weird. Notably Paul, the earliest Christian writing we have, never once mentions a physical man named Jesus, even when it would be integral to an argument he's making. It's weird to say the least. We also have pre-Christian writings about an archangel named Jesus who's similar to the supposed historical man. Early Christian writing is full of weird little things that make very little sense if Jesus was a dude, but do make sense if Jesus was a celestial being who was later euhemerized.
