| Topic | So, apparently there's an extended cut from the Mario Bros movie. |

I was pumped for it, and my parents took me to the theater to see it (I would have been 10 at the time). I remember seeing this long line of people, and saying out loud 'wow, I can't believe all these people want to see Mario too!' And my parents sighed and said 'no son, that's the line for Jurassic Park.' (as I would figure out some time later, the subtext there was 'god I wish we were going to see JP instead of this.') Anyway, that's the first time in my life that I remember being so let down by a piece of media that I was actually kinda depressed about it for no small amount of time afterwards. I don't think even the thickest ironic lens could allow me to enjoy this movie. The only redeemable part for me are a small handful of ( --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
