Because what if I accidentally find them attractive and I realize that my "straight" view of the world might be different.

Also, I should know if I interact with them that they are of a different gender than I believed. I can't go to the bathroom if there's a trans person in there. They might want my penis! Also, I rush to have sex with people although I have the fear they could be trans. Instead of building trust with this person so I do feel more comfortable with the idea of sex I just want to fuck them and whine later!

The idea that these people can exist and I'm not sure what sex they are upsets me. Instead of having a conversation with a person who is transgendered to form understanding and tolerance I'd rather them all wear badges so I don't have to feel uncomfortable.
