You probably won't have to have it worked on for the time you possess it. It's just a battery and an electric motor that makes the tires spin. The only other system is brake fluid, brake pads, tires, and a battery cooling system.

There's no fuel pump, spark plugs, exhaust, ignition, cylinder + cylinder block, drive shaft, transmission, or pistons involved.

It's not that combustion engines are designed to fail, it's just that they have too big of an opportunity to fail
