If an equipment has a new ability for someone, it's safest to just buy it to make sure you don't miss out. Leonhart4 posted... Eiko is better at white magic. Dagger is better at summons. It's kind of interesting that they start in opposite roles when Eiko joins, since she has more summons than Dagger at that point but Dagger has had more time to learn white magic.
