There has been a movement all around Canada in reaction to this. It is a reminder of the attempted genocide of our Indigenous youth and the generational trauma that still heavily impacts them all today. The youth I work with were also taken from their families. Justified in nearly all circumstances of course, but how do you tell a 13 year old kid to trust the government when the legacy of their government is this? All I know to do is keep working hard to support these youth and use my voice and vote to try and get them more support. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
