It seems that after the project got too large, and seeing the progress made on Conker, they decided to switch over to an animal character and the game was scaled back into a typical action-platformer. That's the interesting part to me. Some in-studio rivalry going on, took a peek at Conker and the Banjo team said, fuck, we gotta start over.
