I felt like the show got progressively worse each season, to the point that I almost didn't watch season 4 and kinda wish I didn't. Season 3 was the closest to the plot and tone of the comics. I also thought it was the only time they came close to getting the characterization right for Jesse. Honestly the whole show was a bit of a shame because it could have been so much better if it stayed more true to the comics.
