In terms of individual worlds, I can think of at least 10 of us on Lamia, but that matters less than the DC you're on, since you can make parties with anyone on your DC now. You have to be on the same world to be in the same Free Company (guild) though. Wherever you go, if you and your friends are planning on starting on the same world, I'd recommend one that is currently 'preferred', as there are very nice bonuses for starting here.
