The site is owned by a major DNC donor, and the moderation practices generally skew pretty far to the left on both political and social issues. However, a lot of it just comes down to the mods' individual whims although, obviously, structurally speaking the mods tend to pick people who embody their same political and social opinions.
Likewise, the overall userbase tends to skew far to the left as well, certainly a lot more so than the general population.
Basically it's the kind of site where somebody makes a topic with the overt message that people should murder the rich and it's left up there. And you'll sometimes see posts from leftists advocating that people who don't think and believe what they do should be put into prison camps, which the mods don't touch. And it kinda extends further than that, because people who extol far-left political beliefs gain immunity in non-political areas as well, as we've seen with posters who joke about wanting to hit other posters with their car.
If you compare Gamefaqs to other forums, it comes out a lot further to the left. However, it pales in comparison to places like Twitter and Facebook.
