heres my pro tips

-if you have High Monk combat art you can use it to easily evade and counter his sweeps. In the first phase you can safely use the full combo, but after first phase you should only use the first kick or hell punish you

-Umbrella (preferably the fully upgraded one) will defend you from any of his combat arts, and you can even deflect them with it if you time it right

-Sometimes you can attack isshin and hell trade you, it doesnt seem to do much but it keeps his posture from regenerating, and hell usually switch to a more predictable attack. mikiris and punishing his sweeps will make the real progress

-believe it or not, the fight gets easier as it goes. isshin will use more predictable attacks that drain more posture as you deflect them in his last phases
