I had no idea what type of movie this was with the way the movie started off. Toby's character and the way he socialized with the people in his director circle or whatever you want to call it, the people who seemed to irritate him, they spoke differently. It was very alien and hard to follow what they were even talking about. That changed once he got on the motorcycle and traveled to the small town where he shot his first film, and that's when the adventure begins.
The High Sparrow as the Don was hilarious. I enjoyed hearing the way he spoke (moreso than the director circle), a true wordsmith. Adam Driver continues to impress me with each character I've seen him play. The plot was kind of basic but the way it got to the end was like poetry. I feel weird that this is my first Gilliam film (that I watched all the way through), but happy that this is the gateway. I really enjoyed this.
