This is the standard response for all of us adopted kids when growing up. If someone would use the "Your adopted!" as an insult or something, the go to reply is "Yeah, my parents wanted me. Did yours?" It almost always ended in "Haha, that's funny, let's play tag!" or the kid breaking down into tears and running away.
