I normally find myself just backing off completely whenever a red attack comes because I always guess wrong with the monk's attacks for some reason. Also firecrackers and ash are very effective against her if you can catch her between her slashes.
Also try to remember that the timing on the last slash of that 5 hit tornado thing she does is delayed from the rest of the rhythm
