The trials happened less than a year ago. The people who were vaccinated during the trials are still protected, and they're monitoring those people to get an idea of how long the protection from the vaccines last.

The reason they don't know how long the vaccines protect you for is because the first people who took them less than a year ago still have protection now. They can't just create data that says people will be protected for X amount of time because the people they're monitoring from the trials are still being monitored and still have protection so far.

Unfortunately anti-vaxxers don't want to think logically. They just see the words "don't know" and start jerking off.
