People still seem to misunderstand the guidelines of the mask and social distancing.

Social distancing reduces changes of contracting covid by upwards of 90% when two people are 35 feet apart or more when they do not have a facial covering.

Wearing a mask produces a similar result when the people involved remain 6 feet apart. The closer you get to people while you BOTH wear a mask, the less effective this becomes.

The mask only protects others from you as long as social distance is maintained. It does NOT offer protection for YOU.

It makes sense for fully vaccinated people to not have to wear a mask, as it is quite literally doing nothing for themselves or anyone else, except for helping to slow the spread of other pathogens such as influenza if that person was carrying it.

The danger is people who were not vaccinated contracting and spreading it by either rejecting the medical research we've gathered or thinking that Covid is over because people stop wearing masks.
