Could be cheaper (likely is) to just rebuy furniture and move essentials yourself. If you have a job lined up sometimes they pay for moving costs (mine did). Then for an apartment deposit + 2 months rent it was another $10k. Again, 2 bedroom. This was San Francisco, LA is a bit cheaper. But deposit + 2 months rent is pretty common. (plus airbnb while we were looking) Finding roommates is another option that would be cheaper but that's a process. You could maybe do some airbnb hostel while looking. --- aka kriemhilde00 ...
