I was driving my boat home on the way back from getting my covid vaccine at the closest clinic, when I see 2 wet bears (mama and cub) looking at body of water in front of them. They just got done swimming from an island and were seeing if the tiny baby cub would make it to.

I stopped and nearly hit the poor little guy with my boat, but I notice the little feller is crying, breathing in water, barely staying afloat, and it looks like the wind is pushing him further away into a bigger body of the lake where its even rougher. Goddamnit.. I cant let it drown man But because Id be fucking with nature, I gave it a half a minute more to see if it was gonna make it to the beach. It wasnt.

I grabbed it out of the water and set it in the boat. It was totally exhausted and couldnt even move anymore. Drove over to the beach a little ways away from where the mama was and set it down there. I stayed watching it from the boat for 15 minutes before it finally mustered the energy to even move. But finally after a while it got up and slowly started walking towards it mama. Ngl I was pretty emotional the whole time hoping it would make it. Whew
