You know I guess I could say Xenoblade remastered for me. It was my first time finishing it.
My Remastered playthrough was pretty much almost a blind playthrough, which is part of the reason that particular cutscene shocked me.
When I say almost blind, I knew going in, probably from discussions of this game on Board 8, that Fiora was a pretty key character in the game, but I didn't know much beyond that. So it blew my mind that Fiora gets shredded by Metal Face in that first notable cutscene. I correctly guessed that we would be pulling her from the brink of death later on, partially due to that meta-knowledge and the fact that she was the only failure of Shulk's visions for a long time, which made her a suspicious outlier. But when the cutscene delivers that fucking hard, particularly the one-two punch of Engage the Enemy and Shulk's excellently voice acted "I'LL KILL YOU" line, I was surprised that this wasn't as iconic of a moment as FF7's End of Disc One regardless of Fiora's final fate.
