there was this short lived thriller show back in the 90s i think about this group of people with like clairvoyant powers or something who would solve mystery cases related to the supernatural. one episode was about this dude who had some kind of laser eye surgery, and afterward he started seeing these demons and apparitions everywhere, on the walls on the ceiling, doing these weird freaky, blurry, fast convulsing motions that looked really creepy.

the main characters eventually figured out that there is some kind of lens in the human eye that hides the demon world from their vision, and the surgery damaged that lens in this guy's eyes, so now he can just see the demons everywhere. as a side note to this, one of the characters mentioned that cats and dogs don't have this lens and can just see demons all the time.

so yeah, your pet ever stares weirdly at a fixed point on the wall or ceiling, and then freaks the fuck out? it's a demon.
