You should be fine. It's just something that a remake that takes CS into account could maybe fix, that's all. IMO, Trails games have pretty bad endings in general (or at least, they have severe flaws). 3rd and Zero probably the ones that I like the most without any reservations? CS4's was mostly excellent, though I hated a couple things about it (those things may not bother other people). 3rd's ending just plain great though.
