I'm actually kind of surprised CE likes it as much as they do with the way they behave I would think they would consider it offensive. Lots of homophobia from the two main characters. Super hot female character who is practically naked 100% of the time with main characters accidentally groping her and lots of shots with her butt in their face or something. One of the main characters is an annoying jackass. Granted I have only watched 3 episodes so far. It hasn't really hooked me yet. I liked Gurren Lagann and even I can admit that it only really started to hook me after episode 8. It's a series that relies on escalation, and while the end result is worth it, I think the beginning-ish can be a really hard sell for anyone who doesn't already love anime or have the patience to wait for something to "get good". Anyway as for my actual recommendations, here are 3 anime that I'd feel comfortable recommending to someone who hates anime.
