Although I like almost all their albums, I would absolutely agree their newer stuff is just not the same quality as their past work. In fact, Id say theyve been kind of coasting and not really challenging themselves ever since 2000. If you preferred AB to The Joshua Tree (as I also do), you might like some of their other stuff from the 90s. Theyre not for everyone, but Zooropa was surprisingly experimental, and Pop is actually my second favorite album by the band, which at times barely even sounds like U2 (a few songs are electronic music). Thats not to say I dont love their more traditional stuff like Pride, but their 90s material really stands out to me. Anyway, glad to hear you enjoyed the album! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
