She cried. Cat darts into the room, jumps on the dog's back and bites her on the neck in the kid's defense. Had to end a bit of a scrum, both animals were fine, but that instinct to come to the rescue will always amaze me. I really don't understand how anyone doesn't think animals enrich their lives. I've been without a pet since a cat I called bubbles who I had in my early 20s (he drooled spit bubbles) right up until I got Walter and fuck it was the best decision I ever made.
