The hurricanes are the best team in the NHL, discuss

This Nedeljkovic kid gave me Binnington-rookie vibes when he was playing pretty darn well in Mrazek's absence. And like Binnington, he bailed my fantasy team out on more than one occasion, so I like him.

Yet even after Mrazek returned, they continued to start Reimer. WHY. Guy is a pending UFA and there's no reason to keep him with the Mrazek-Ned 1-2 combo. Also he sucks compared to the two of them. Every Reimer start (other than a back-to-back when Mrazek was injured) should've been a Ned start. Makes me so mad every time... he better be on the shelf for the rest of the year.

Anyways, I do seriously like Carolina's chances of getting out of their division if their goaltending holds up, Tampa Bay/Florida are both scary this year, but I like Carolina more. Final 4 is gonna be more interesting:

Fun playoff fact I didn't know until this moment: there's no conferences this year, the 4 division winners get reseeded based on points (I assume points percentage since games played are going to be all over the place) and it's a 1vs4 and 2vs3. Makes sense considering the current situation and all but could provide some semifinal matchups we'd never normally see.

If the playoffs started today and all the current division leaders won their divisions, the semifinals would be Carolina vs. Washington (just like old times) and Vegas vs. Toronto (expansion season cup finalist vs. team that hasn't sniffed a finals in 54 years).

The Leafs have an actual chance to win a series this year!

watch Classic Carey Price return just in time, like Gandalf in Two Towers, to stab the Leafs in the heart once again, hahaha
