Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (PS4)

I have been obsessed with this game the past week or two. It's just insane. I didn't care for it the first time I tried it, as I was hoping for another Ace Attorney and it really isn't that similar in most ways. It's really out there, quite ridiculous and is fairly slow initially. And then you just get into it and it unravels and you ride it out at max speed without noticing. I think the gameplay actually isn't great, the "cases" are exposed to you without having to think much and many characters are quite extreme and stereotypical. And yet, this game just completely absorbed me. The mysterious setting, being stuck with a small group of (admittedly silly) people, the incredible music and just the ridiculously dark atmosphere were just so mesmerising I was glued to the screen. In the end I just didn't care about faults, imperfections, logical fallacies or exposition. For the hours spent playing this, the real world stopped existing for a while. I absolutely loved it, it's not a 10/10 game, but easily my favourite game of the year so far.
