Nah man, you're good. 3rd time now I fell off, i've forever been a "something awful happened, just gonna drink and forget about it" kinda guy and April dealt me a few bad hands. It's still only been 3 times in 3 months and i'm much better. I get way into my own head when things happen, and I constantly feel like I can fix anything or i'm a failure. Idk if that's relatable to anyone.

That is incredibly relatable. And yeah realistically I think that's progress you should be proud of especially with your wife's dad and just whatever else is going on.

I worked with a dude who was a former alcohol and went to AA and completely changed and he even talked me into going a coupla times and it really wasn't for me... I remember people kept telling me "life always gets in the way... you do something or you dont" and I just thought that was bs.

Its true to some extent but making it a mantra or whatever just seemed so simplistic and kinda fucking dumb.
