I don't know anything about the gameplay or the story but the voice acting (apart from Sonya) and character interactions are all seriously on point. The attention to detail and references thrown into all the 1v1 intros are SPOT ON. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is the ONLY Shang Tsung as far as I'm concerned. It's amazing that after 26 years he basically just EMBODIED the role with such ease and every second he's on the screen he's the best part of the scene. The lone bad part is Sonya's voice actor. In a cast so full of charisma she is an utter black hole. The lack of rage toward Kano. The lack of emotion regarding her loved ones.
