I'm just saying discounting time spent in the Wild Area seems kinda silly since catching Pokemon is literally the point of the series. If somebody spent dozens of hours catching them all, then sure, it doesn't count for "Main Story." But if somebody just spent a few hours, I don't see any reason not to count it, since that's what it's intended for.
