But I do know 30% of Republicans just don't plan to get it at all.

I mean, I suppose we'll wait on the science to come out on that. But just anecdotally online, I've seen headlines being blasted through social media abusing the laws of large numbers, framed in a way to deliberately instill fear. Perhaps that's helped the people on the fence decide to get vaccinated, but I doubt it!

There are just a large number of ways in which we could boost public perception, though they run counter to the goals of most news agencies. But I just don't think "they're cutting off their noses to spite their faces" is really a productive conclusion, nor do I think it's likely to be highly supported, but that's just my own expectation.
