No, the King James Version is a dated translation that is only good for it's literary value. The NIV is considered a bad translation because it often distorts what the Bible says to fit the world view of fundamentalist American Protestants. If one wants a good, modern translation, they should use the NRSV.

This, despite being a Wordpress site, has some good examples of the problems with the NIV:

https://isthatinthebible.wordpress.com/articles-and-resources/deliberate-mistranslation-in-the-new-international-version-niv/

I have seen people who say the KJV is the only good Bible translation (one reason being that it doesnt omit that one verse from Mark so it is more true to Gods word or something like that)

From what I have read I cannot trust the site you linked. From the About section its by some guy so its impossible to know what his biases are just from that, but he is pointing out words that dont match or are incorrect, but the NIV is meant to translate meaning rather than literal words.

That doesnt necessarily mean its a good or bad translation, but I find it the most useful because it translates meaning.

I havent found one good English translation of the Quran, so I try to read multiple translations + the literal Arabic to find my own meaning for ambiguous verses

I try to laugh about it, hiding the tears in my eyes.
