I'm not a huge fan of big name fights unless it's on merit. My biggest gripe with boxing was that they would avoid the best fights because of the politics involved and to protect their boxer taking a loss and subsequent loss of future earnings. In recent years I don't watch it unless I'm drinking with friends and they want to watch it. I haven't gone out of my way to watch a boxing match or UFC fight in probably a decade. Sidenote but even though it's scripted it was my biggest pet peeve in wrestling where all the regular workers were pushed aside for big name X and part timers. It was undeserved and was purely about the money and casual fans. I hated how Lesnar was used in particular ... Copied to Clipboard! |
