As to what is quoted here. Thats just a dumb line of thought. Before jobs where a thing people still worked their ass off to survive. Their work just simply only benefitted themselves and their family. But it was a lot more work. Surviving off hunting aint easy and farming is a lot of work.

Working a job to survive by todays standards is a far easier life than people had back before jobs where practically necessary.

Wow, so you're saying that people's labors to survive have become easier and more indirect over time? That sounds like a good thing, so what if... what if we continued to do that? It's not like people just hunted and gathered individually until jobs appeared. There was collective effort for people to put their talents and smarts to use, improve things, buy in to those improvements, etc. I see no reason why that couldn't continue to a point where work is eliminated or at least less back breaking, time consuming, unrewarding and so on. The thing is it requires a lot of help and buy-in from the people who have means and wealth, but ensuring the collective health and survival of humanity is a goal people should be interested in. Plus they really owe us one. I don't know how someone can look at the timelines of wage stagnation, middle class shrinkage, wealth gains of 1%ers, etc. and be mad that it's the poor people who are the ones leeching
