I mean a lot of people enjoy being lazy sacks of shit anf im no different. Kinda why I like my job. It's 90% walking and talking no real work. I take pride though cause its a job that has to be done. Imagine a world where we dont lock up rapists and murderers. Not all of them can be saved so we make sure they are locked away so people like you aint gotta deal with em. Majority of my unit is sex offenders qnd violent crimes. Mostly sex offenders though.
Its a weird job though. Youd think we wouldnt give a fuck about these people but last night I along with others responded to a code where a lifer in for murder was getting his shit caved in. We protected him and got his ass to the hospital cause he really needed medical attention. I sat with him for 8 hours at the hospital making sure his every need was taken care of. I even had to stay an hour and half over. 13 and a half hour shift over that and I aint bitching cause that man is likely alive only cause of us.
So yeah I take pride in my fucking job. Call me a corporate stooge all you want. I at least serve a purpose in this world.
I am employed and I am therefore better than anyone who is not, because that is what I have going for me and I need to be better than someone dammit.
