If it was hissing at you and you were being nice to it and respecting it's space, etc. it is likely feral, and at that age I wouldn't bother trying to socialize it, unless you like a challenge or possibly want to occasionally deal with a obstinate cat with a wild side. Don't let it in again, especially for your other cat's sake. pojr posted... It was bad enough that I let the cat come in here. But I've rescued cats in danger in the past, so it was just natural for me to be nice to this. I shouldn't have let it in from the start.
