Tens of millions of Americans own guns without any issue but you don't hear about them. Thinking that it's just gun access as the independent variable leading to our shootings, when 99.99% of people with access to guns use them as intended is just illogical. The fact that you can buy a gun anywhere is not why someone shoots a group of people. Also didn't 2020 prove to leftists why we should not be so adamant about disarming the citizenry and therefore granting more power to law enforcement? And I say this as a progressive leftist.
