The only real criteria so far is that they must have originated in a video game, and even then I suspect they'll eventually break that rule. It's not like Nintendo is under threat of legal action of they break it. Maybe. Or it may also just be rules that the fans figured out. AFAIK, all the current characters fit that rule so far... It's doesn't mean it 100% will stay like that. But the chances are high that it will... Mead posted...
