It was good to keep it kinda secret and surprising though. I definitely didn't expect a lot of the gameplay to revolve around hacking. I agree it was good to keep it secret. Getting thrown into the opera boss hacking minigame so early was jarring, and by the time I got around to playing 9S I had forgotten about it.
