I mean, we see it ON FIRE underwater so there must be something to it. Later, when Steppenwolf is about to cleave Cyborg, Superman jumps in at the last second, takes the axe to the shoulder like it's nothing and simply says "Not impressed" before proceeding to fuck up Steppenwolf I'm not a super avid comic fan so I don't understand half of the rules of the respective universes.
