"The Flu" is a terrible thing to call it and I wish we would stop even as I am repeatedly guilty of it.

There is no singular flu and there is no vaccine that prevents every single one. The vaccine simply inoculates against several common or expected to be common flus for the season. It's like a good bug trap. It won't work on every type of pest but it's still well worth the effort if it stops or diminishes several of them.

I mispoke. I meant the vaccine itself gave me the damn flu.

I social distance naturally anyways. I go to work and the grocery store. So yeah not doing flu shots every year. This however is a pandemic. That changes things for me.
