FE YouTubers have made pretty good points about this, in regards to how these things are tools to help you finish the game. Just don't hoard them, and you'll be fine. The other way to look at it is to consider that you could easily beat the game without using any of them. It's perfectly possible to beat FEs while never using any stat boosters.
