Castlevania III (NES, 1990) Castlevania 1 is probably the best NES game for its early part of the cycle in terms of the way it handled and how finely turned everything about the game ended up being. Castlevania 3 takes the idea and just makes...more. Instead of one character you have multiple characters that all handle well. And the level design is much improved and more memorable than that used in the first castlevania.
