This is however the Mario Kart game I love most. From the day this came out and my friend got it, until the day NHL 94 came out nearly 2 years later, this was all we played. Day and night. Endless hours in battle mode. God only knows how many runs through all the cups in 150CC and Mini. Man was there anything more challenging than being small the entire cup? I love almost all the courses. Donut Plains can go die in a fire. The exploits on Vanilla Lake are timeless. Mario Circuit 2 jump shenanigans. Banana peel slightly left of center, kill all those path following CPUs. This game follows tons of old game things where stuff is very programmed and does the same thing every run with the only variable being you. We would try to make the CPUs finish out of order. Like if I am Bowser than DK is always second. So can I get him to fall to 3rd? Or 7th!? This game has a great little OST and is so colorful. I love the DS style minimap on the bottom because they didn't bother to program in full screen showing how much this was meant to be played 2 player. Oh and Game Genie letting you use the character specific items that only the CPU has access to normally. Hello broken Star Mario. I was a Yoshi main initially and then later Bowser.
