Death Knight is exclusive to the Death Knight. Dark Knight is conceptually similar but has Black Tomefaire instead of Lancefaire and a different mastery ability. But they are both mounted casters who use spells and lances. And you have time to still fix Lorenz. Just make sure to master Mage for Fiendish Blow and it might even be worth mastering Monk for Magic +2 (Lorenz needs all the attack he can get), then just ride out Warlock while raising Riding.
